House of Elpis is a place where recovery, growth, and new beginnings come together. Our purpose is to serve individuals in recovery by providing a safe, clean, structured, and drug-free environment where they can rebuild their lives, discover their purpose, and create a foundation for lasting success.

We believe that everyone deserves a second chance—the opportunity to heal, grow, thrive, and prosper. At House of Elpis, we provide more than a place to live. We provide a supportive community that encourages accountability, personal responsibility, independence, and positive life choices.

Our Goal

Our ultimate goal is transition, not dependency. We want every resident to move forward toward permanent housing, greater independence, meaningful employment, healthy relationships, and a fulfilling life in recovery.

Our Vision

Our vision is to bring awareness, advocate and coordinate community partnerships to prevent, reduce, and ultimately end homelessness by providing financial principles, caring, safe & stable housing, and supportive services to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower individuals in recovery through compassionate support, structure, accountability, and community. We help residents develop the life skills, confidence, stability, and resources they need to successfully transition into independent living and a healthier, more productive future.

Meet the founder

MARCIA WILLIAMS - Founder & Executive Director

Marcia Williams is a passionate advocate for second chances and the visionary behind House of Elpis — a transitional home rooted in hope, healing, and redemption. With a background in real estate and a heart for service, Marcia founded House of Elpis to create a safe, structured, and compassionate environment where individuals reentering society can begin again with dignity and purpose.

Guided by her faith and a deep belief in the God-given potential within every person, Marcia is dedicated to walking alongside those who are rebuilding after incarceration, addiction, homelessness, or other life-altering challenges.

She is committed to cultivating strong, meaningful partnerships with mental health professionals, reentry coordinators, veterans’ services, and housing-first organizations, ensuring that residents have access to the comprehensive support they need to thrive.

Marcia leads the House of Elpis with empathy, integrity, and vision. More than just providing a place to stay, she is building a launchpad for transformation — a place where lives are restored, hope is renewed, and futures are rewritten, one step at a time.
